That done, she turned her attention to Kratos. It was just his luck. First the experimental treatment, then getting the brunt of the gas. She should have been more alert--maybe she would have sensed the gas before it had started. But how could you predict that? Besides, there wasn't much point in worrying about it now.
"I think," she said, eyeing him critically, "we should wait until you feel better before we do any more exploring."

Kratos met Soma's eyes in a stare that far surpassed the one he had given her and Rapunzel the other night in steeliness. "That's not quite the answer I was seeking," he said lightly as his head tilted to the side in his classic gesture of mild exasperation. Exasperation...that would be how he would approach this. Better exasperation than anger, even though destroying some equipment in a fit of rage sounded appropriate considering how this night had gone so far.
