[from here]Mikado kept near to the man, half wondering if, like American fun houses, something would jump out at every turn. Nothing, in the end, and other than the creepy demeanor of the place, Mikado was wondering if there was really anything to be concerned with. It was another aspect that was just... off about this place, but it didn't seem as

Of course, things could never be simple either. Harvey couldn't ignore the fact that something was bothering him all of a sudden. The first sign of it was a burning in his throat and then a tingling sensation all across his wounded face. His eyes started to water soon after and he had to pull his arm up to wipe at them (not seeming to care that he was putting pressure on the burns at the same time).
Before he could make any comment on it himself, Ema also mentioned feeling something. "Yeah... yeah. Still feeling it, actually." Zero was about to respond to Ema's concern when he noticed that something was wrong with his respiratory system. His throat and nose felt like they were burning, being most noticeable every time he took a breath. (How did a human feel the inside of their body burning like this? It felt so strange.) Soon afterward the burning sensation spread to his eyes, which grew moist in response. It wasn't just him, he realized; Ema and Mr. Dent appeared to be having similar reactions.
"I'm also being affected," Zero reported in a mildly irritated tone. "What do we do about it?" He wasn't quite sure, as he was still so unaccustomed to this form. For now, he was going to keep going forward, so long as the rest of the group were willing. Ema was slowing up, so he slowed his pace to accommodate her and continued the way Mr. Dent was directing them.
