Too goddamn tired, huh? Kimbley smirked up at the intercom sealed in the corner of the room and continued rifling through his drawer. Under his pillow he'd found the flashlight; in here, there were pens, a radio, a journal ... they were actually giving them supplies here. Clearly, this was not a real mental hospital ... or prison. More of hell than

ZEX was considering whether or not hiding in his room would be the best course of action, given his relative weakness, when he noticed someone sitting in the hallway.
Allies can only be useful...and they don't look dangerous, as far as I can tell...
"Excuse me..." ZEX kept a hand on the wall to keep himself steady as he took a few steps towards him. "Are you alright?"

Demyx hadn't been paying much attention to the other people in the hallway, so he was quite surprised when one of them actually talked to him. That's right, he wasn't invisible. Though, he would have liked to have that skill.
Demyx managed out a strangled, "Ulp!" as he stepped back from the guy. He finally managed to regain his composure enough to respond. "Er, yeah, I'm fine."
From his appearance, Demyx figured that he must be a 'patient' here too. Whatever that meant. In either case, the guy looked harmless enough. He hoped. He really didn't want to get into any kind of fight right now, especially without his weapon.
He hadn't really known what to say after that, so he ventured a question. "Hey, do you know what this place is?" Sure, he had gotten the whole 'this is Landels and we shall heal you' spiel, but Deymx was hoping this guy knew something more.

The human seemed rather jumpy...well, that seemed to indicate that he wasn't a potential enemy. "Monsters" was such a vague term...ZEX had no idea what it could refer to. This person seemed harmless enough though.
"I'm...not entirely sure. Someone told me that it's a mental hospital, but I doubt that now, particularly with some of the weird things I've heard about this place. Especially what happens after dark..." ZEX found the muscles in his face growing tired...how weak human muscles were. He raised a hand and pressed it over one eye. It was going to take him days to get used to the double vision, if he ever got used to it at all...

ZEX stared at him for a bit, then tried that human thing, what was it...laughing, there we go. "Oh, this." ZEX moved his hand from his eye for a second, although he kept all his fingers together in a way that seemed a little unnatural. "I'm not used to having two eyes just yet, it makes me a little...dizzy. I suppose I'll get used to it eventually, but for now..." ZEX replaced his hand.
ZEX turned to look at George. A human female! One of the first he'd seen so far. "Hello there."

"Um," she managed out and pointed her flashlight in the direction of, well, away, "do any of you know where the… uh." Well, this would sound stupid, because if they knew, they wouldn't be sticking around here, right? But whatever. "Do you guys happen to know where the exit is? I kinda… can't stay here"
She had a job, which meant being able to receive her assignments and not locked away. Jesus, tonight was fucked up.

"Monsters?!" he squeaked. That was not the new he had wanted to hear. He was actually wishing this had been the seemingly normal hospital he had thought it was when first arriving. He might even brave needles so long as he could avoid monsters!
"I really don't want to see any either," he agreed. At least they were both on the same note here.
Demyx blinked. Did he just say he wasn't used to having two eyes? How many did he have before? "Oh yeah, it's, erm, difficult." Yes, Demyx had no have any idea what he was saying.
He turned back to the woman. "An exit? There's an exit?" Finally, some good news! "But I don't know where it is. Sorry."

ZEX leaned against the wall, still a little wobbly. Apparently humans tended to shake when stressed...that wasn't good. How did humans survive so long? "I don't suppose either of you have any sort of plan? I'm considering just trying to find someplace to hide until daylight...I don't think I'm in the best shape for battle."

"Well, maybe we should find it anyway?" She shrugged a little and crossed her arms over her chest. "I mean, just how fast can these 'monsters' run?" It was kinda meant as a light-hearted joke, but it didn't look like anyone was laughing aside from her corny, fake attempt at it (which made her instantly stop and frown again). It began to dawn on her, though, how one of the two blonds were acting. She just couldn't help giving him a concerned… raise of eyebrow.
"Hey, are you, uh… gonna be okay?" Dumb question, George. Didn't he just say he wasn't doing so good? Her head turned to peer down the hall like something was about to intrude of them or something, not like the conversation was that riveting. "Do you really think it's safe in your room?"

It wasn't until the woman started showing concern that Demyx realized what kind of state this guy was in. "Uh, yeah, you ok?" He asked, echoing her. Either way, it didn't look like he was in any condition to move or anything. And if he was right, then finding the exit would be no easy task.
"I don't know about you," Demyx said, turning his attention back to the woman, "But I don't think he--or I" he added emphasis here, "Are really up for an exploration of this place tonight." Especially if there were monsters roaming around.

ZEX tried to think of what that human gesture was, what was it...to help calm nerves? Some kind of laugh, wasn't it? ZEX tried to laugh lightly, and instead ended up giggling in a way that didn't match his next words. "My apologies, I'm not used to this body just yet. It's a big transition and more than a little awkward...my sense of balance is still fairly askew. Everything is so still all of a sudden..."

"You know what? Whatever," she gave with a roll of the eyes. Jesus, were they just gonna stay here? Oh yeah, there were crazy. Good going in forgetting that, George. "You know, maybe this is just some weird form of therapy, huh? I haven't even seen these 'monsters' yet. It's just been word of mouth, right? Well, I for one, am finding this exit, because if this is to test me, I'm not standing around here. Though…" She pointed a finger at the sickly blond, "you should lay down. I guess."
Although her words seemed forceful enough, it just didn't have that… drive behind it to make it truly commanding. Nor was the way she tried to turn on her heel and just looked flustered combined with her hurried "bye." But ever onward, as it was. She'd just… find the exit herself.
Yeah. It'd work. It'd have to.
[Went here.]

Ah, he kept on calling him that in his mind, didn't he? Didn't most people introduce themselves by now? Oh no, he'd messed it up already! He was just thinking he should pretend to be a somebody right now...
"I'm Demyx!" he said loudly, putting a quick end to those thoughts. He scratched the back of his head bashfully. "Sorry, that was a bit loud. What's yours? I mean, your name." Man, he was tripping over himself a whole lot.
"I agree with her about one thing though," He said, giving a nod to the direction the woman had run in, "You need to lie down somewhere." Demyx couldn't say he really cared about getting this guy out of danger, but it wouldn't help to make enemies now and Demyx wanted to find a place to hide too, so why not bring him along?

"Ah, I am Admiral ZEX, formerly of the VUX military." ZEX found himself unconsciously trying to wave his head tentacles in greeting before he recalled that he didn't have them anymore. This was going to take some getting used to...
"And I would lie down somewhere, believe me...I would just prefer to do it somewhere safe, and I'm afraid safe locations may be in short supply." ZEX looked around cautiously. "Unless you know of any...?"
