Having reached new territory, Facilier switched on his flashlight, his confidence building a little as the night had shown no disastrous results of "code 1-8" yet. According to his map, Facilier should have been fast approaching the designated meeting spot he and Rapunzel had written about on the bulletin board.

Aware that he was about to meet the potentially valuable girl once again, Facilier adjusted his hat and coat while his Shadow melted back into an inconspicuous state; second impressions tend to be just as important as the first ones after all!

Lifting his flashlight up, Facilier took a gander at his surroundings until his single beam of light fell upon a familiar figure waiting by the door to the women's area. As he got closer, his flashlight offered him fleeting glimpses of the girl's head, illuminating samples of golden hair which seemed to glow against the darkness that surrounded her.

A satisfied smirk came upon the Bokor's lips. "Oh Rapunzel, dear?" Facilier crooned, his shoes and cane clicking softly upon the floor as he made his friendly approach. He had almost added "Let down your hair!" at the end of his call, but knew better than to think that the blonde was the fairy tale figure with the impossibly long hair herself. The poor girl probably wouldn't have understood what he was saying anyways, and he didn't want to be unbecoming of a gentleman and possibly insult her. She was too valuable for him to do that yet anyways.

"Is that you Rapunzel? It is I, Doctor Facilier!" he said with a rather grandiose tone. As he got closer, Facilier lowered his flashlight, not wanting to rudely point a bright light in her eyes. Once he had reached her, Facilier gave Rapunzel a nod of his head and a tip of his feathered hat. "I'm quite glad to see you unscathed here! I do hope y'all weren't forced to wait too long for my arrival..."

Rapunzel had been getting a little bit antsy waiting for Facilier, wondering if he had gotten held up by anything. Hopefully nothing dangerous, she thought as she clutched her things closer to her chest. Would she be able to find him if anything had gone wrong? She hadn't even gotten his room number. Agh, how had she been so stupid? Why hadn't she just given the man her room number in the first place? All she had wanted to do was save him part of a trip, and here it was just making things more difficult, maybe. Note to self: share room number more often.

Thankfully, the sound of the man's deep voice eventually sounded behind her. Not-so-thankfully, it was in a tone that sent an odd chill down her back. The way he said "dear", it was almost like the way Mother Gothel called her "darling"... But no, she thought. She had to be reading into things too much there. Right?

She turned to face the man, the pile of hair in her arms coming into Facilier's line of sight as Rapunzel gave a slight gasp of surprise. She wasn't familiar with the style of dress she saw before her, but boy did it suit him. Rapunzel was impressed. "Oh no, not at all! I'm just glad you got here okay. I was starting to wonder if you'd been stopped by something," she answered, some of her earlier worry seeping into her tone for a moment before she continued. "But wow, is that how you normally dress at home? That looks-!"

Rapunzel didn't get to speak much further when the intercom clicked on for the second time that night. Both their heads turned up toward the nearest speaker, out of which came the supremely frustrated voice of General Aguilar. Rapunzel was confused by his words for a few moments until the words "rogue soldier" hit her like a charging palace horse.

Oh no. They don't mean...? Do they know about...?!

Change of plans.

On instinct, Rapunzel flicked the end of her hair out at Facilier, which caught around him like a small lariat. "Sorry, no time to explain! We have to get upstairs!"

With the good doctor in tow, Rapunzel raced for the nearest set of stairs.
