Night 58: Meeting Room 2.

This was not how Bella had planned on spending the night. All she wanted to do was grieve and mope in solitude, and as she walked down the hallway led by an unidentified soldier (she had attempted to get away from them the moment they entered the room, but had been told that she had no choice in the matter. She could either come quietly with him, ( Read more... )

It was too easy. Far too predictable, really. After having felt her eyes on him all day, after seeing her blood slowly pouring onto the floor of the cafeteria without another soul noticing, what had happened in his room had been expected ( ... )

Edward had planned on spending nightshift doing something that had nothing to do with the place he was trapped in. Mostly. Consoling his fiancée regarding her dead friend had everything to do with the asylum, but it was time spent with her regardless. Nothing to do with tearing open a squirrel's body or attacking patients or -

He needed to stop thinking about blood right now. The soldier beside him was definitely no-nonsense, and attempting to tear open any part of his body was likely to get him shot. Even still, he could hear the man's heart beat steadily...

Edward wondered what he was being dragged to. Brainwashing? Experimentation? Was it worth it to fight back? He wasn't sure it really could be either of those, because from what he had learned on both accounts, patients could not remember how it had happened. All they remembered was being approached in their rooms, not where they were taken or what had been done to them ( ... )

When Bella heard the door open, she instantly leapt back, fear coursing through her limbs - only to find it to be exactly who she ... didn't want to talk to. Great, she thought to herself, instantly turning her head away from the man as he strode into the room and away from her. At least they were feeling the same thing at that moment. She honestly didn't want to talk to him - she was livid, of course, regardless of whether or not the incident had been an accident or not. How could she not be, after all? Her friend was deadMoments later, in strode the other person she was feeling peeved at. Of course, at the sight of Edward, Bella couldn't help but allow herself to feel comforted and happy by the fact that he was there ( ... )

When the door opened a second time, Venom's head went into his hands. Edward. After what had happened in the cafeteria, the assassin had been perfectly content with the idea of never showing the vampire his face again. Not after that pathetic display. Not after showing how weak he really was. It was enough to just see what the accident had did to him, but to hear it? To hear everything?

When the vampire asked his question, Venom's hands fell back to his sides and his mouth stayed shut--he didn't need to answer that.

What on earth was the meaning of this? It was a little late for group therapy, wasn't it? Or did they want to see the three of them tear each other apart? What the hell did they want with them? No answer came, sadly, at least not from their newest member and certainly not with an explanatory message from the men over the speakers. Still, regardless of his own reluctance, his eyes took to examining the room more closely. Aside from their being dragged here, there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. It was ( ... )
