She needed to do something.
And maybe it wasn't smart, deciding while she ate her slop-dinner that tonight would be the night she started said 'something', alone, but she knew her way around well enough and, well. It was a better plan than sitting in her room pretending everything was fine, she was sure of that. She grabbed her flashlight and headed out, giving herself very little time to think too much about it. Tonight she'd go out and try to find answers, talk to people, see what they knew. They were all in the same boat, so they'd be willing to help her, right? Sure. Just a matter of finding the right person.

She dressed with all the usual efficiency into her old clothing from home, strapping weapons here and there and making sure they were all within easy reach. Even if it was just a trip upstairs, she knew better than to underestimate anything here anymore.
