It might as well have been the man's first night. Castiel, he hadn't been worried about. Whether he'd been also a detective or just crazy or something else entirely, Castiel had seemed able to take care of himself, but if Michael was deluded enough to think there was nothing out there... No. Stefan couldn't stay. Whether or not his roommate could deal with the night-time or not, his odds of survival would be much better out of the company of a hungry vampire.
Once out the door, out of sight from Michael, Stefan ran.

When he'd returned to his room and Gamzee hadn't shown up, Ritsuka had lost his appetite. He supposed it would be good for Ippo at least, but Ritsuka couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. Last night someone had seen Gamzee turn into a ghost and then all day today he'd been missing. What if he really had died? But then...wouldn't Gamzee's things be gone? And wouldn't he have gotten a new roommate? His guard hadn't mentioned anything about losing a roommate or anyone being released and the guy was actually pretty good at keeping Ritsuka informed since his rank was so high. That didn't alleviate all of his fears, however, and if it hadn't been for his promise to Albedo, Ritsuka could have gone off to find some evidence that his roommate was still alive and well ( ... )
