Utena shrugged, turning her light down the halls in a few different directions. "Maybe just whatever's closest?" she suggested, hefting her box of stuff in hand. That would probably be as good as anywhere else. Whatever wouldn't be a big open area like the hall or the Infirmary would be good, she thought. Utena couldn't quite figure why, but she liked the idea of moving back into a smaller space. It was too drafty in open spaces. A more enclosed place would be warmer, probably. Why that mattered right now, she didn't know, but it did sound vaguely good right now.

The closest door was a little ways to the south. "Induction Room..." Utena read aloud as they approached. She didn't really know what that meant, but hey, that was why they were exploring, right? To find out what all these rooms were for, and if they had anything worth the patients' time.

She shifted her box onto one arm and dropped her light into it to free up a hand. "Huh. Locked," she said after trying the handle. All the other doors had opened fine for them so far. Maybe that meant they had found something interesting? She could only hope.

"Hang on a sec. I'm gonna try getting this open," said Utena, setting her box down again. Getting her grip on the handle, she took a breath, then rammed her shoulder and upper arm against the door with a grunt. She hissed. The hit stung more than she figured it would have. Still, she tried again, hoping the door was weak enough to force, like many doors in the Institute were. The skin of her upper arm sang with pinpricks of pain. It was actually starting to itch really badly the more she aggravated the area. Maybe this hadn't been the best idea.

Thankfully, however, the door gave just before Utena was ready to give up. "Ow ow ow..." she said to herself, rubbing her shoulder as the door swung open. Man, this really hurt. Was that drug making her more sensitive or something? And was it just her, or was the itching starting to happen in more places than just her shoulder? Seriously, she was feeling the urge to start scratching all over. And she was starting to feel thirsty. Everything felt kind of dry all of a sudden.

Utena seemed to be in some discomfort--maybe she'd injured herself opening the door? Soma was about to ask what was wrong, but a wave of anger, as unexplained as it was sudden, washed through her. Let Utena deal with it on her own. It was her fault for being weak. She didn't deserve to--

--no. That was wrong. What was she thinking? Soma pushed the thought away, trying to hide how disturbed she felt as she held the door open for the other girl and stepped through.
