Night 57: East Hall

Behind the door was another hallway -- that made sense, since they were right below the main hall of the first floor, or very, very close. Taura jogged down it, to the far end.
There were doors on both sides of the hall, though, one set leading out to what had to be underneath where the transports picked them up each week to go to town. The other set led underneath the Medical Wing, which no one had had more than vague impressions that they'd spent time there recuperating. That was, until tonight. Two nights, two announcements of open doors. Taura didn't trust either; nor did she trust the doors flanking the hallway, but what else could they do? A riot hadn't worked; they were going to need more subtlety than that. So pitting the two men who would run this place against each other was the best option, and to do that, they needed to play along with at least one of the games. Maybe both, if they could tell anything about what was going on above the ceiling while they were here.
"If there's a maze behind this, we stick together. Otherwise, we spread out and find cover." It might be another hall; likely, if the basement mirrored the top floor, but it couldn't help to be cautious.
