By the time Erika hopped out of the ballroom, wincing in pain and keeping her foot off of the ground, Sync undoubtedly would have wondered what happened and maybe assumed the worse. That was why she made sure the shield item they received from the Sphinx was in full view so he would keep his comments on something more important. God, was it a mistake to bring everyone along with her?! She would rather have the company of Lion and Battler at this point!
"Here, we got it! Ow... Let's just hurry up and get to the last room. I'm sick of this place!"
Gone was the enthusiasm and bravado she displayed in the beginning of the night when it looked like she was ready to take on the mysteries of the basement. Of course, her desire was still there, if only so she could punish Noah and the other boy for making her look like a fool. Everyone would pay for ruining her intellectual time... Everyone!

Granted, having them all die the in the end would be somewhat satisfying as it was equally grating.
The God-General turned towards the set of doors as soon as they opened, raising an eyebrow at the frazzled teen and the other two occupants who seemed more than happy about the girl's annoyance.
"I take it everything went well?" Gracing the group with a grin, Sync casually shrugged before making his way to the other side of the Ballroom. Better they get it over with so the real fun could start.

"You might want to turn on your light before you go in, then." As entertaining as his last visit in the next room had been, he'd rather actually know what stepping into this time around. The contrast of his visit then and now was astonishing, and because of the fact that there was no real reason to rush he moved about as casually as he wanted ( ... )
