Darling little brother had plans, plans Albedo had allowed more than he normally would. Perhaps it was the annoying creature who ignored him outright, or perhaps it was only that that hallway, and that location reminded Albedo of a certain girl, and a man, and a night he held in something close to regret. Let Nigredo have his agreements--the next night, the two of them would investigate further.
...And anyway, there was something interesting here, wasn't there? The man heard was nothing but a blow-hard, to be certain, but his offer, at the least, seemed intriguing. Testing out chemicals for effects? Well. This seemed familiar. Ask a suicidal immortal which things would kill you quickest and he would speak in details. The scenario was too mirrored for him to fully ignore. And after all--there were other things to be gained, mm? And surely little brother wouldn't disagree with gaining more weapons--or, in any case, more of these pin rewards that they seemed to be racking up.
The white-haired boy smiled with contentment at the thought, then only moved to his things. The secondary shotgun was left--he would be gaining the first back in minutes--though he opened the box of ammunition and slid six shells into his pockets. The sword was likewise abandoned--one of the combat knives' sheaths slid through his belt that he had retrieved from the closet. He eyed the rest half-longingly and left it, in the end only taking the other knife as well, both on the backside of either hip. There was almost like the Yuriev Institute holsters, and wasn't that charming, really? Having a gun hidden from sight on a small child so it would be able to get close and shoot without you suspecting a thing.
That man, Albedo thought, half in humor, half in rage. That man truly was a wonder, wasn't he.
