Night 57: Main Hallway, 1-West

[ from here ]As Erika approached the meeting spot, she was pleased to see that she was, indeed, first to reach there. This was to be expected: Erika was closest to this particular hallway and she could have given the others a minute's head start and still probably beat them while walking at a leisurely pace. But Erika had hurried to get here and ( Read more... )

Like before, the weight was easily managed--it was the mass and awkward length that would place his accuracy less. If possible, he'd do well to accompany Yomi to Doyleton again, and see if there were things other than an oversized, out of date, limited ammunition weapon to be found. He was staring at it, not amused at what he had been reduced to, when his eyes registered motion nearby. His gaze flicked up, watching as a person approached him, not, perhaps, that much older but....

Hm. A good deal taller. Albedo instantly became vaguely annoyed as he had to glance upward a good amount to view the other.

In general, something like that could be viewed as an offhand threat. He blinked at the teen sedately, knowing where the other's eyes went and what he carried himself. Albedo excelled in terms of weaponry here, and with that in mind... Was this person asking to team up because of that? The boy's eyebrows raised on his forehead incredulously. "I planned on spending my time with chemicals and consumption but if you have something more interesting in mind...."

What an interesting way to put it, but it didn't surprise Riku that this place managed to grab a few people like that. After all, the Organization was made up of thirteen people, and the only "normal" one was Roxas-and that was stretching the definition of normal. After all, the word only applied to his personality and nothing else. If twelve out of thirteen people randomly pulled together by some unusual bond could be that way, then people here could be the same. Then again, they were all shells, but ... Landel's had a way of messing with people. Changing them. He knew well enough how badly Kairi was altered.

"That's just what I planned on," he said firmly. "I just woke up. Got back from ... somewhere." He shrugged. "So I didn't want to waste my time seeing what they were offering to us." It was a lot of information to supply, at least for him, but he knew the necessity of it. Besides, a gun could be useful. If things worked out tonight and this guy was up for it, he could be a prime member for the club. If Sora was still there, that was-and even if he wasn't.

Riku motioned out his bat and tried not to feel like an idiot. "I've got this and some tricks, too. You won't be holding us up." If anything, that was boasting and offering the mystery he needed. For so long when he ran into random people he needed to assist him, he relied upon holding back information until it was absolutely necessary. This time, he was showing half his hand and not giving any idea of the rest. It was thinking smart.

Albedo maintained the expression, wondering idly if this one was on drugs. Was it common, from he was from, to come up to another and expel your business like it was something cared about? Nicely convenient that they had the same place in mind, but he was wondering more and more what could be gained from this one's company. A bit too talkative, and a part of him understood the mild hypocrisy of that thought. Ignored it, and watched the teen further.

The bat was nothing impressive--other than the firearm, Albedo had two combat knives concealed under his jacket at his back. This and tricks, was it? Obviously, one could consider abilities, but the wording was nothing but faulty. Especially after talking to Peter after this morning, Albedo only moved to an amusing conclusion. And then that last utterance.

All right. He conceded. This might be amusing if it was to be allowed. The boy shrugged exaggeratedly, a hand lifting in a what-can-you-do gesture. "We'll see about who holds who up. Turning tricks isn't as useful in this place as you'd think. Nevertheless...." He went on, walking forward. "There might be some monsters you can charm, mm?~"
