His roommate wasn't here yet, which gave him a few minutes to collect his thoughts. Indy needed that too. The meeting with Berg had given him plenty to think about, though not much in the way of actual new information. He had some idea of what the military was ostensibly trying to accomplish here, at least. What he hadn't learned was anything about where they were keeping Dad--not to mention that they might've missed each other this afternoon while Indy was busy being blindfolded and dragged to meetings with the brass.
Later he'd have time to discuss the whole thing with others, kick around some more unfounded theories. For now he had something more immediate to focus on: the basement. If he were smart, he knew he'd've said no to going tonight, but he didn't want to wait to find out what was down there any more than anyone else did. It was time.
