The storage room was on the other end of the second floor, so that meant passing by the Sun Room and steering well clear of the railings. Peter feared inching too close to them would awaken the ghost of Demon Rapunzel once more, or whatever nasty they had plunked in there for the night. He kept a steady pace, declining to take her hand again as he needed his own for dramatic emphasis. Their mission could not falter for the sake of the Rebellion's Bert and Ernie act, but Peter could damn well still be pissed about it on the way.
"What I don't get is why they would think having that suck bucket on their side is a good thing," he reiterated, sweeping the flashlight around the corridor. "He just oozes weasel. He literally sweats weasels instead of water, he is so weasely. The minute he has the chance to crawl back into his cozy doctor's chair, he's going to resume his duties as chief pain in our asses and screw over the Rebellion the first chance he gets. God."
