[From here]If Villiers was going to join him, Izaya was going to make the most of the time. He'd mentioned an interesting piece of information just a moment ago, so now was as good a time as any to find out more

Izaya drew his arms closer to his body as they walked through the cold. It didn't seem quite as cold as earlier in the day, but it was still snowing... Izaya wished he'd at least been given a coat, but at least he wasn't going to be outside for long. He and Villiers had already passed the edge of T&M, and the doors to Bill's Hardware were fast approaching.
He nodded in understanding as Villiers shared a few details of where he was from-warmer climate, larger city (though Izaya supposed it wasn't hard at all for a place to be bigger than Doyleton)... Most interesting was the fact that Villiers had never before been outside of his own hometown; he'd keep that in mind.
When Villiers asked if Izaya was from 'around here', he couldn't stop the laugh that escaped his throat. There was a strange phenomenon regarding languages here-he and Castiel had noticed it on their first night, and with a few exceptions, almost everything he'd seen and heard since then had been Japanese. If it weren't for that, he and Villiers would have been unlikely to even be talking like this-but it would have been easier for the big man to realize he wasn't a local.
