Day 56: Magus Park (Morning)

Getting to check up on Neku had been good (even though Sora realized that he was the one who'd been approached, rather than doing the approaching), but when the buses finally made their way through the snow and into the town, the boy was completely distracted by the view that followed. It really did remind him of Christmastown. There were no lights ( Read more... )

"When we landed? ...You remember being brought here then?" he asked, pulling his eyes from the town to look at her. He didn't remember being captured or being brought to this place, but then again he apparently didn't remember a lot of things.

The question of whether fal'Cie control the weather here had never even occurred to him as something to mull over. Snow only knew as much about Pulse as anyone else did. It was supposed to be horrible and savage, with monsters crawling all over the place. The fal'Cie were also said to not really... help people in any way, though what that meant, he couldn't really guess. Would that mean that they wouldn't control weather? But if that was the case, then how was it even snowing?

He looked around the landscape again, suddenly looking confused. Actually, now that he was thinking about it... nothing about this place fit the image of what they'd been told about Pulse. It didn't look uninhabitable or desolate. There weren't any monsters to be seen, even out here in the open. And the town itself, despite being... well, weird-looking, looked pretty damn quiet and peaceful. It was almost kind of nice, actually. Nowhere near as active as Bodhum's streets, yeah, but it could be that everyone was inside. It was cold and all.

Snow followed Lightning's glare toward the disguised soldiers still hanging around. If nothing else, he could definitely agree to moving. Last thing he wanted was some nosy soldier sticking his damn nose in their conversation while they were trying to freaking talk. So he agreed with a short "Yeah" before walking off straight ahead. He had no idea where the hell he was walking off to but walking and talking was probably a good idea.
