Waking carried a sense of disappointment along with it for the first time in a long time. Klavier actually sighed in irritation when he realized where he was. Damn it all. So they hadn't managed to move quickly enough to cover as much ground as they had hoped. It was a shame, really. Last night had actually proven to be relatively productive. If

The door opened and Okita sat up, allowing the soldier to brush his hair for him and studying the room in the meantime. Guy was already gone, but it was obvious he'd been there earlier with the way the bed looked. Today was a Doyleton day and the soldier explained the differences between today and other trips to him as Okita was handed his clothes for the day. The samurai smiled and nodded, asking to be left alone while he dressed. The soldier acquiesced and soon Okita was wearing a pair of blue jeans, a warm white turtleneck (he was certain he'd seen this before), and a new thing. A pink overshirt with long sleeves and a big face on the front. Okita smiled, poking the thing in the nose and being pleasantly surprised at how soft it was. Once he put his hat on, the soldier came in again and apologized for the state of his wardrobe. Apparently, this wasn't something most people would be happy with - even if Okita was.
Led out to the buses and given his usual brown paper bag, Okita boarded the yellow monsters and tried to find a seat close enough to the front where he wouldn't get sick. He was about to take a different seat when he noticed a new face wearing bright colors, eating his muffin. What was the harm in chatting up someone new, right? Maybe it would even help him take his mind off his annoyance at his lack of progress here.
"Hello there. Are you new?" he asked with a smile, putting one hand on the back of the bus seat cushion.

Was he new? He supposed he was new to this place, wasn't he? "Yeah, bro." At least he thought it was a bro. The human was flat chested, but the voice wasn't all that deep. Or maybe it was just wearing too many layers for him to tell. They were cute layers, whatever they were, and Gamzee was tempted to reach out and try to feel the fuzzy face on the front of the pink shirt. It was a shame that his hands were currently occupied with his muffin. "Think I all up and appearified here just last motherfuckin' night."
He took another bite of the muffin. This was good stuff, obviously made for humans and their duller teeth, though. It was going to take a while to get used to the different feel of those. Hopefully this human had its own, as he'd rather not give up his.

"Oh? Just last night? It must have been rather confusing for you, just..." What was the word the boy had used? "Appearifying?" Was that the right way to use it? He hoped so. It sounded like an interesting term. "Like that. My name is Okita."
The boy went back to eating his muffin and Okita noted with some interest that his teeth seemed a bit sharper than most people's teeth. Was it just his imagination or were they really like that? The dip in his attention was momentary at best and Okita kept the smile on his face the entire time. The stranger was young and it had been awhile since he'd spoken to someone who fell within a child's age. Not since Heiji. And Heiji... "Do you mind if I join you?"

It had been confusing for him last night, certainly, but then things were confusing to him a lot of the time and he just rolled with it. "Shit, bro, I can't even all get my remember on for when I up and zoned the fuck out last night, but then I was kickin' back on that springy square again like shit didn't even happen. What's even up with that?" He'd call it a miracle, but he wasn't really sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing that it had happened.
He didn't seem much phased by it, whatever the case, and was soon back to munching on the provided muffin. It couldn't be too bad of a place if they were being supplied with good food. Now if only he could get one of them to supply him with some wicked elixir...
