When she stepped inside, it became immediately obvious what sort of place this was supposed to be. "Huh... it's some kind of shop," Anise announced, stepping farther inside so that the others had space to enter behind her.
Looking around with her flashlight, she could see that some snow had blown in through holes in the windows, and through one section of a wall that had collapsed. Between that and the sagging roof, the building looked pretty unsafe, like it might collapse at any minute... but it held up this long, didn't it? They'd be okay so long as they didn't bump things around too much.
"I wonder if there's anything useful..." she murmured, crouching down by a pile of crumpled bags and toppled cans. Picking up one of the wider tin cans, she saw that the label read 'coffee'. The bags surrounding it seemed to be for various other edible things, though Anise was pretty sure she didn't want to try eating any of it. This stuff had been sitting here for what, almost a hundred years? Any food here was probably way past the point of rotting.
