Surprisingly, Erika hadn't put two and two together and realize that the fall from the ballroom would be much, much higher than simply falling into a room. Although she didn't scream, the detective's eyes widened and she reached out, trying to find anything to break her fall -

And then Sync caught her.

Erika's harsh breaths were the only sound she was making as she realized that she was quite alright and that she had to thank her companion for that. Despite that, the close contact with someone whom she didn't particularly care made Erika scowl and without a word of thanks, she pushed him away and brushed her clothes out, taking a moment to adjust her little hairpiece as she took a look around. This was the ballroom... So, that ring did work. Even without the unfounded paranoia, Erika had been a little doubtful.

"Well, it worked. We should make sure to fix it immediately," Erika noted, looking down on the floor and retrieving the bag that she had stupidly let go of during the fall, drawing out the katana. Yes, she was very intent on making sure that ring was fixed.

In return, Sync only smirked when Erika pushed him away to rearrange her clothing. He was used to taking up thankless jobs, so as long as the latter did her part then he couldn't care less if she actually appreciated his efforts.

"Already on it." Just as he said this he leaned over, sliding a portion of his forearm over the blade of the katana she'd drawn out. Almost immediately blood began to leak from the wound, and he was quick to catch a drop into the shattered jewel of the ring. What came next was just what he'd expected, the stone reforming itself until there was no trace of it ever being broken.

With their efforts successfully proven, there'd be no need for them to ever endure the tedious trip to get to their destination.
