While it felt wrong to go marching off outside while Mason was upstairs getting tortured, Claude remembered the last time he'd tried helping. That was right -- Mason had at least one friend who looked out for him, and chances were he'd been smart enough to make preparations in case he got nabbed for "sleep studies" again. Still, to feel so helpless like this...
"Dammit," he hissed as he finished making the last of his preparations. Just how many more people were going to suffer before they found a way out of here? If he couldn't even save himself from the doctors, just how did he think he was going to save everyone else?
No, now wasn't the time to ask himself those kinds of questions. He had to keep pressing ahead. Guy was probably already waiting for him.
After slipping into his Federation jacket, Claude grabbed his sword and gun and slipped outside.
