Ippo made no pretense of eating. He left his bowl where it sat and endured his roommate's narcissistic abuse, legs bent to his chest as he waited anxiously on his bed for some sign that night had begun. It came in the form of silence and static from the intercom that grew to unbearable levels. His hands covered his ears quickly until the ringing

That was all superstition in the end, but getting to meet people only to lose them a day or two later did wear down on a person after a while. It did on him, anyway, but that was because he usually became friendly with someone after the first conversation ( ... )

At long last, Nigredo found himself at M58's threshold, hands and mind full to the point of overkill. He still could not say what might have been wrong on Albedo's end; he hadn't touched on the details through the link. It was too invasive on one side, too painful on the other. And really, it was moot point by now.
What he didn't know would be unraveled.

He was also glad to have not lost his memory again this night. At least he wasn't aware of having lost his memory. If anything had been done to him, he'd find out soon enough. For now, he stood outside his room quietly waiting with his arms crossed. If the bulletin had been enough to go by, then hopefully Brook would know to come by there again. He wasn't going to go wander off without him, even if they might meet part way.
At least now he was properly dressed and armed. He felt better about the situation just being as prepared as he could be.

After the close call in the recreational field, the next few hallways were a breeze to get through, though that may have been from the adrenaline causing Brook to walk a bit faster. With the distance he covered in one step alone, it was no wonder he ended up getting to the hallway in a quicker time than he'd anticipated.
And there was Sai, already prepared and waiting. "Good evening Sai-san! I hope you're doing better tonight?" he greeted before not-so-carefully prying to see how his friend was doing. Missing memories in this place for a long time made things difficult, especially if it was a reoccurring thing.

In any case, there was no point in standing out in the hall longer than they had to. He nodded to his companion before taking a step forward. They had places to be. "Should we go, then?" The sooner they all got there, the sooner they could get to some real answers (hopefully) and the less chance there would be that night would run out before they made it there.

And it did seem as though Sai expected Brook to follow along this night, to which he had no qualms. He returned the nod, ready for anything. "Will we be heading for the basement again, or did you have something else in mind?"
