DAY 55: Sun Room [2nd Shift]

[ from here ]Either she was the only unlucky person to experience a freezing shower, or she just hadn't built up the tolerance for it that the more seasoned patients had. Whichever it was, she was the first person into the sun room and while normally she wouldn't mind that, the soldiers were majorly creepy and she was kind of hoping for some kind ( Read more... )

[handwaving showers for the sake of getting this backthread started :v]

The shower would have felt a million times nicer if she had, you know, eaten before it, but at least it had come to feel somewhat refreshing; enough that Yukari was beginning to feel better after having to do the kind of dirty task of cleaning. She couldn't claim that she exerted a lot of effort into the task, but whatever. Uniform back on (which still wasn't her preferred choice of clothing, but it was still so much better than those dingy, grey things they had to wear), Yukari decided she was going to do what she had wanted to do from the start; kick back and chill for a bit.

Speaking of chill... as she looked up and around at the windows, Yukari had noticed-- was it snowing? Well, that was kind of nice, she supposed; it wasn't something that happened all too much, so even in such an awful place as Landel's (wait, did one still call this place 'Landel's'?), the sight was still serene in its own way. She wondered if it was sticking to the ground outside.

Another glance around, and Yukari spotted someone familiar: Aigis. Right, they barely had the chance to talk at all last night, leaving it for later instead... She was alone, so this was the perfect opportunity to catch up some more.

"Hey, Aigis," she called out with a small wave, taking a seat in the opposite end of the couch. And now that it was brighter... Yeah, Yukari was still kind of weirded out seeing the other girl look considerably more human, made only more obvious now that it was daytime. Nonetheless, she tried not to make that obvious; she had been surprised enough the night before, which hopefully didn't make Aigis self conscious or anything. Would a robot get self conscious over looking more human...? "What're you up to?"

Aigis looked up at the familiar call of her name, rousing from her darker thoughts and back into the daylight of the institute. Yukari had taken a seat before her. Aigis readjusted herself to sit up and better face her friend.

"I am looking at the snow." She responded automatically. Then she shook her head and sighed, looking down at her hands in her lap. "Actually, I was thinking. They were not pleasant thoughts."

She took a deep breath and allowed a smile to tug into place, hoping to set her friend at ease. "It is nice to see you again, Yukari-san. I trust you had no troubles last night?" Certainly she would have been fine. She had the Evoker, after all. She had the power to heal and attack, and Aigis couldn't help but feel just a little jealous of the added security. What did it take to find another of those Evokers in this place?
