NIGHT 54: West Wing, North Hall 1-A

[From here.]At least if he couldn't soothe anything else, he could soothe the flashlight. While it seemed to rebel by flickering a few more times, the light stayed steady otherwise. So now, on top of attempting to supply himself with blood so he didn't randomly select a new victim and get stabbed between his ribs again or set on fire, he had to ( Read more... )

If he hadn't been ready to slaughter something before, Edward sure as hell was now. He'd been always expecting Landel to find new ways to torture him, but he hadn't expected Venom to be the victim. The one man he trusted. He'd seen his world and more of his life than he'd ever wanted to, and yet... he had still given him blood. Blood. Which he hated.

Edward hated favors. He hated people doing things for him, especially when he couldn't pay them back. And now he had that favor hanging over his head like the sword of Damocles.

The contents of the bag were heavy, but he wasn't allowing himself to be weighed down as he went back through the same hallways he'd come from to arrive at Stefan's room.

It was usually when Snow got about here that he remembered he had no idea where anything was or where he was going. If he actually stopped to think about it, he'd probably realize he hadn't actually made a very good effort when it came to exploring the place. Luckily, Snow was actually pretty damn good when it came to remembering locations and directions. Once he'd been somewhere anyway. It didn't help with figuring out where new places were but at least he could remember how to get around through the paths he'd walked already.

Not that he really needed any special talent or anything for this one. He'd been down this route so many times, he could walk it with his eyes closed. ...Which was good since that was pretty much what he was doing. Let's see here. There was a door right here to the right som-- Ah! Got it.

As Harvey made his way down the hall, he couldn't help but wonder what kind of obstacles they were going to run into this night. He didn't know if anything could beat that bouncy ball, but he also didn't want to set the bar too low for this place. He didn't know if the previous night had just been particularly unlucky, but he wasn't going to get his hopes up about this one either.

At least he and Jones would have a better chance of getting around unscathed if they had two other people with him -- provided that those two were both competent, anyway. He wondered how the archaeologist's arm was doing after the night before. Even thinking about the resulting burn wound made him somewhat queasy. He had gotten used to his own situation, but the thought of the act of burning itself didn't sit well with him for obvious reasons.

He wished he could just get over the trauma of it, but that apparently was going to take time. He didn't do therapy.

Shaking his head, he strode down the hall with his flashlight pointed forward.

"I wonder what this strange feeling is?! Maybe something I ate... yohohoho!" Brook mused, genuinely curious though not too concerned. If he could feel where things were really really dangerous for the night, then that would make the outing with Sai and his friends all the easier! He wasn't sure how he could explain such an ability to them, but better to try than have people unnecessarily walk into danger!

Taking a right after exiting his block, Zack knew it was straight down the hall to the end. Tifa would probably be off to the right after that, since that's where the female block was. Once again, he was treated to an empty hallway, but he tried not to focus on that. It could just be a matter of bad timing, and he was pretty sure he saw other flashlight beams up ahead.

Though his own flashlight was starting to act up, flickering in and out like the batteries were low. It occurred to him that that might actually be the case. He hadn't replaced them yet, even though he had a spare set in his drawer. Now he wished he'd thought of that, but he didn't think he had the time to run back.

Well, he'd be reaching Tifa soon enough, right? And it wasn't like he didn't know where to go.

Yeah, he'd be fine. Shrugging his soldiers, he continued on.
