To the individuals who participated in this morning's insubordination: know that you're in part responsible for what happens tonight.
"I wasn't even here then," Alaric sighed under his breath, feeling under his pillow for the flashlight he'd found during dinner. He was starting to catch on to the game, if that's all this really was - this kind of

"My dear Shadow!" Facilier exclaimed as he approached his looming shade, arms spread wide and wanting nothing more than to hug his familiar power. Finally! Something that actually made sense in this place! Facilier hadn't lost everything that was his! The Shadow on the other hand, seemed confused by the new surroundings, gazing about with a quizzical frown on its flat features. "I know! I'm just as confused as you are!" Facilier said through a strained chuckle, "But I'm sure we'll find things out sooner or..."
Facilier trailed off as a chilling revelation slowly dawned on him. If his Shadow was still with him, then that could only mean...
"F-Friends?" he stammered, his voice pitching slightly with panic. Paranoid, Facilier fearfully gazed about the room, expecting to see the shadows of the Loa surrounding him.
"Are you there? It's me! Doctor Facilier!" Nothing. The room remained blank and plain as a sheet of paper. Facilier's Shadow trembled in the background, just as fearful of the Loa as the man that cast its form. When there was no reply, Facilier took in a nervous gulp. "I uh... think y'all dropped me off at the wrong place..."
Facilier chewed down on his lip at his last sentence, cowering on the spot and hoping that he hadn't spoken too soon. To his relief, there was still no response, and Facilier was left to ponder more over his situation.
So his Shadow was back in business (if not only during the night), he was stuck in an institute gone mad and his "friends" seemed to have left him behind. Whether this was a good or bad thing, Facilier wasn't sure, but he decided to cautiously accept this strange fate, as it certainly couldn't have been worse than eternal entrapment on the Other Side...
This left Facilier with one final option: It was time to find his answers outside the room. A nice, good sleep to wait out all the chaos was tempting, but escape through a possible jail break sounded far better. Wherever he was right then, Facilier wasn't exactly comfortable in staying, not with the soldiers and crazy talk over the intercom...
After a quick search of the room, Facilier gathered a flashlight from beneath his pillow and set off into the hallway, his living Shadow cautiously trailing close behind him.
