With the recent changes that had taken hold of the institute, the facade of a normal mental health facility had already fallen long before the night had began. Though these changes had wrapped everything in a degree of uncertainty, at least the allowance of a false freedom was one that still remained. It would have been an inconvenience otherwise, as tonight was when he would exchange metal for a pair of longer blades.

Yet, it did not mean the endeavor would not meet with any hindrances, for the intercom had implied something of interest. Many who were included within an existence would likely regard the announcement with a certain measure of anxiety, for Project 2911 did not bode well. It was to be expected, as the institute was not a world that required only minimal effort. Still, Xemnas wondered how the military would differ from the staff. Would they, too, change once the corridors were shrouded by darkness? How would the changes affect the night? Indeed, the new developments did not only provide valuable pieces of knowledge.

Dinner had been defined by silence, but there were matters of more importance than the questioning of a single patient. Little preparation was necessary before the Superior could leave his quarters after the doors has finally unlocked. Heading outside, he found that the corridor proved to be devoid of a noteworthy presence. Perhaps one might expect soldiers patrolling the corridors, but their purpose, too, was to allowed them to roam.
