((ooc: Posting Mokona's wake-up post here, I hope that's okay!))

Mokona tossed softly, murmuring in her sleep as she tried to find a more comfortable position in which to continue her nap. The soft pillow had seemed an ideal spot when she’d first curled up on it, and she had been in dreams the moment she’d closed her eyes - other Mokona had been there, waiting for her. It was nice to see him again, now that things had settled down at least a bit, for her and her friends.

The borders of her dream began to fuzz and fade, and she furrowed her brow softly as she realized she was waking up - whatever she was sleeping on had somehow turned firm and springy, not necessarily uncomfortable, but enough to make her blink and rub her eyes, after calling goodbye to Larg. His voice echoed back to her softly, as if it were carrying from far away - she frowned, puzzled at that, as it was different from usual…but different didn’t always mean she should be worried, she knew, and dreams were known to do stranger things!

She sat up with a soft yawn, peering into the alien darkness around her and bouncing experimentally on the bed, giggling a little as the springs squeaked beneath her weight. This was most definitely not where she remembered laying down…maybe someone had moved her? Her friends did tend to look out for her, and if Fai had thought this would be a more comfortable spot…

Mokona perked sincerely at the thought of the magician, and made to hop out of the bed and search for his familiar face, as well as those of her other companions. Two things happened then that brought a surprised yelp from her lips - first, her spirited jump fell short, as she realized too late that she felt a good deal heavier than she ever had in her life, and second, a sting of pain followed her crash to the hard floor. She winced softly, scooting herself into a sitting position with exaggerated care and actually inspecting her surroundings, and then herself, for the first time since.

After crawling around a bit and eyeing the furniture, even she was able to come to the conclusion that this was not the country of Nihon in which she’d started her nap. It seemed more modern, more like the country Yuko was in, the world where she and her sibling had been born…. She sat back, frowning harder with worry, her stomach sinking steadily. Her most important power was her ability to move between worlds…it was what made this journey possible, and the reason she had been created. Even if she couldn’t control or predict where they were going, she had to make a conscious effort to take them there - so why, this time, had it happened while she was asleep? It shouldn’t have been possible!

Even more unsettling was the change to her body.

She held her hands out in front of her face, wiggling her fingers experimentally for what was probably the tenth time since she’d noticed she had them. She did the same with her toes, before moving to touch her face and hair, and finally the space where her long ears should have been - she still had ears, of course, but nothing like she was used to…the noises around her, few that there were, sounded so strange. Muffled, and louder at the same time, somehow.
Mokona scrambled tentatively to her feet, testing her balance as she pondered the transformation - she’d searched for a mirror, but hadn’t been able to find one, and so she had no clue what she looked like now. She knew she felt like a giant - things that would have normally towered over her were now easily within reach…strange as that was, it meant she wouldn’t have to jump to get to things as much, a fact she was quite grateful for. If falling in this body felt the same as falling out of that bed, she wanted to avoid it as much as possible.

The usually cheerful creature, now a little girl with bright blue eyes and short, white hair, paced about the room as her thoughts raced. She had never been able to travel between worlds without knowing it…nor had her or her companions ever been transformed by the transporting - most of the time, they even stayed in the clothes they had left in!

Her eyes widened with sudden realization, and she gasped. Her friends! She’d never ended up separated from all of them before - she’d at least wound up with one group or another, when they’d been split up during the movement between universes. She felt tears spring to her eyes in a flutter of panic - what if they weren’t here? What if she’d somehow lost them, and they were in a different world altogether? How would they get home? How would they talk to each other, or other people? How would they reach Yuko?

They needed her!

As if in response to her wave of concern and fear, she suddenly sensed a surge of familiar magic - Fai’s magic - faint, but steady, and most definitely there. She sighed loudly with relief, smiling again, and darted clumsily out of the room and towards that comforting power without a second thought.
