Day 54: Doctor's Office 8 (Dr. Disraeli) [Fourth Shift]

Jan 30, 2011 03:33

Today was just full of surprises, or that was what Jizabel had determined following the Lunch Break. First he'd arrived to hear of a riot amidst a strange military occupation and now he was learning that not only were his afternoon sessions to include a patient who had earned solitary as the result of said riot, but that there would only be that ( Read more... )

The sedative was starting to wear off some by the time fourth shift rolled around. That was good. He guessed. An attempt to stand up from lunch followed by a stumble into the table confirmed that a good bit of the effect was still there, but at least he wasn't tempted to just stay lying where he fell. As his nurse helped him up, he heard something about "therapy" being talked at him. Therapy? What? When did that start happening? Scott had never been brought in for therapy before. It had been almost two weeks since his arrival; at this point, he had just figured that he was one of those patients who just never got it ( ... )

Coherent is what he'd hoped for. What he'd gotten was a young man that looked to be not only still drugged, but beyond a point of proper consciousness. They honestly expected him to conduct a session like this? Jizabel would be lucky if the boy could make it to the chair without falling over.

Though that could prove beneficial.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Michaels," he provided slowly, "I am Dr. Jizabel Disraeli and I will be your therapist for today." Or for however long the young man lasted.

Disraeli, there we go. The name said out loud again in combination with the name displayed on the doctor's door before he had entered helped him to grock it better. He wasn't sure about that first name, though. Was he hearing it right? What kind person named their kid "Jizabel"? Whatever, he thought with a shake of his head. It was Landel's. He really should have stopped questioning stuff like that a while ago.

"'m not 'Mr. Michaels.' My name is Scott Pilgrim," he answered with a muted groan, haphazardly pushing some hair out of his face as he approached the doctor's desk. "And I'm really, really not in the mood for 'therapy' or whatever today. Today's been a crap day. Today can go die in a hole somewhere. Are you sure you don't want me to come back tomorrow or something?"

[ooc: Jizabel/Jezebel is a girl's name. XP]

Eyes narrowing at the young man's speech pattern, the Doctor breathed a small sigh before forcing himself to rise. Just as Jizabel had considered in the earlier session, Mr. Pilgrim as it were was of the same mind, questioning the need for therapy given such difficult circumstances. That the young man could get to that conclusion provided promise if he could retain himself.

"Let's find your seat, Mr. Pilgrim," the Doctor suggested as he rounded the desk to help guide, "I'll be the first to tell you that my office is a much less militaristic zone than that of the remaining institute. Consider this a break for the next hour or so."
