From here.Ludwig had... not anticipated anything like this. The instant after he and John broke through the door, a rush of cool air met them. The room was frigid, and as Ludwig led the way in, he knew exactly where they were. Weighing stations, beds, tables... and worst of all, those refrigerated cabinets in the walls. This was a morgue, and it

Well, okay. If that's what it was like, John could deal with that. It wasn't as though he had a lot of other options.
So he stared up at the ceiling and thought things through, methodically. It wasn't a small amount of blood -- and for it to have seeped through the ceiling, there must be more that they couldn't see. Whatever its source, it wasn't likely to be something alive. (Or at least not something still alive.) With what he knew of this place, it didn't seem impossible that a patient might have come to serious harm, hurt or killed by... well... whatever they were.
"What's up there? Is there another floor?"

However... now that there was no obvious threat, Ludwig quietly nodded to himself and lowered his flashlight, turning to go through one of the two doors on the far wall. It seemed like the other two would have things well in hand, and if there was useful information to share, they'd likely share it somehow. For Ludwig, it was more important to get back to his mission- considering the silence of the room, if something did happen, he'd certainly hear it.
As he walked along, Ludwig ran his hand through his hair and wiped it off on his shirt- he'd seen enough blood in his life, from a wide variety of horrific sources, that just that alone wasn't going to scare him. Especially when there was no obvious threat with it. As for the question? He shook his head- so far as he knew, there was no third floor, let alone any idea of what was up there. Then again, this was the first time he'd been up to the second floor as well. "I don't know."

"May as well keep moving."
John eyed the two doors on the southern wall for a moment before he stepped forward to open the one the other patient hadn't gone through. He walked into the dark.
