And up the stairs, as quickly as possible. Ahh, Kibitoshin hated those stairs! They weren't so bad during the day, when there were lots of patients around and the lights were on, but in the dark, even with a flashlight, they only seemed to exacerbate that horrible feeling he had here that something was creeping up on him, slowly closing the distance between its jaws and his neck.
... d-damnit! Now he'd gone and scared himself all over again! Deep breaths. D-ee-p breaths. He was just being silly. Though, really, if he was going to be stalked by a terrible fang-ed monster, it was probably going to be tonight. He was totally alone, after all.
