Well, if it wasn't his favorite time of the week. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder. Of course in this case, distance makes Klavier feel like an abused, neglected animal who was only now being allowed a taste of actual food. These people were such savages. It was still absolutely absurd that they were allowed access to this room so

It was still going to take a little while longer until she knew how to feel about it.
When the nurses had come by again to pull them off elsewhere, Yukari initially didn't want to go; there was still a lot she wanted to say, or at least it felt like it, but now that a while had passed by a part of her realized that maybe it was for the better. More than likely, they both had a good amount of things to mull over.
The end of the day was nearing, and it sounded like her next destination was-- the music room.
"The music room?" Yukari had given an odd expression at the news.
"It'll be good for you," the nurse with her insisted. "It's comfortable and relaxing-- and you've been looking awfully troubled all day."
There was a skeptical frown, but she didn't question it-- until she saw the room. Maybe she should have expected something like this in some place that was trying to be a hospital (yeah, right), but Yukari didn't think she'd actually land somewhere that looked and felt more appropriate for a little kid. Dinky, cheap instruments to play with? Really? It didn't take much for her expression to sour at how the nurse wanted her to spend the rest of her day.
But no, even worse, the lady was still acting as if Yukari had no will of her own, suggesting and insisting even more she could do this or participate in that and--
Honestly, Yukari only agreed just to get her to shut up. For the love of god she had never started to get any more fed up with a nurse in her life, but that was probably because most of them she ever had to deal with didn't think she was too crazy in the head to function at normalcy.
"Here, Kara," Oh, right. They also called her by her actual name, too. "Why don't you spend some time with Mr. Browne? He's been with us for a while, so I'm sure he'll help you get comfortable."
After glancing between him and the nurse, reluctantly, Yukari sat down in a chair across from him unceremoniously, and she waited until the nurse gave a nod of approval and walked off elsewhere before speaking up to the person in front of her; "So... is everything here supposed to make us feel like we're in kindergarten again?"

Still, talking to someone new wasn't such a bad prospect. He knew that he had a tendency to stick with people that he knew because he liked the familiar, but he would never turn down the chance to talk to someone else. While Guy was guilty over the fact that he tended to avoid female strangers just because of the possible awkwardness that might come up, he wasn't going to be anything but polite to someone who came to chat with him.
Her greeting comment made it pretty clear that she wasn't in the best mood, which was a pretty common thing at this time of day. He managed a strained smile and glanced around the room. "You mean the instruments? I guess so, but there are also places where you can just listen to music..."
He pointed toward the section of the room that had all of the CD players, the area that he had tried so hard to keep himself away from this time around. Now that someone else was talking to him there really wasn't much of a chance that Sync would show up, so maybe the two of them could go look at the Walkmen together. If the girl wanted to, anyway. He was probably thinking too far ahead.
As for the instruments themselves, Guy wasn't really one to judge. Maybe if he'd been raised as a noble past the age of five he would have been taught how to play something, but it clearly hadn't worked out that way.
That was the last thing he needed to think about right now, though. "Oh, my name's Guy, by the way," he said with a small bow of his head, hoping that the girl wouldn't notice the lack of a handshake. Now that he thought about it, she looked vaguely familiar, but not to the point that he felt he should mention it verbally.

She wouldn't ever claim to be an expert on musicians of the past and the classics, but she did know enough to more or less make out who was who and that she was far more into the modern day stuff to bother. Yukari would guess that asking for any decent radio stations here would be asking for too much.
"Oh-- I'm Yukari," she greeted in return with her own name, and fortunately for him, the lack of a handshake hadn't as much as crossed her mind. But her sour mood from before did seem to fade away, if only by a little; no reason to be mad at someone who was likely in the same position as her, so she attempted to be polite right back. "Nice to meet you."
Not to mention it was awfully nice being able to sit by someone who wasn't immediately going on about how they knew her before.

When she gave her name, he smiled and nodded, glad that they were able to get through that without any physical contact. It made things so much easier, since the last thing he wanted was to be considered rude for his unwillingness to shake someone's hand.
"You too," he replied, though he was already making some conclusions about Yukari. For one thing, it seemed like this was her first time in the Music Room, if the way she'd reacted to it was any indication. That meant that he didn't need to ask her when she'd arrived, but...
"I was wondering," he addressed her with a tilt of his head, "where are you from?" If she was really new, she might not even know that there were people from different worlds here yet. He hoped he wouldn't have to get into that, but at the same time, it might just turn out to be interesting to chat about.

"Where I'm from?" Yukari echoed, mostly to herself, as she thought over the question. "Iwatodai," she answered simply, before a realization popped into her head; it came from one of those 'earlier conversations' she was trying to forget about in the meantime, but-- hadn't Yuffie said something about this being in America? Yukari had still been dubious, because there was no way she could have been brought overseas overnight without her noticing at all, yet then again... The dead weren't supposed to come back, either.
As the thought briefly crossed her mind, Yukari made a slight frown, although she was able to brush that off just as quickly. "Um-- that's in Japan."
At the very least, it didn't hurt to clarify.

If anything, he'd just have to try to be more interesting.
The first name that she offered was totally foreign to Guy. That wasn't so surprising, seeing how he hadn't even realized there were other worlds until arriving here. He probably didn't know most of the places that the patients here were from; the only place he knew anything at all about was Earth. He'd learned some about others here and there, but thanks to Claude, he was the most versed on Earth.
He did know the name Japan, though, just because he'd heard it or read it so often while here. "Ahh, gotcha'," he replied with a nod. "So you're from Earth, then." Depending on what she knew, that statement might be enough to make her stare at him with something other than boredom.
He didn't want to leave her hanging or anything, though. "I"m from a world called Auldrant," he went on to explain. "If you didn't already know, a lot of people are from places other than Earth here." Which drew up a lot of important questions, but Guy had been through them countless times already.
