History ClubGood morning, everyone. It seems yesterday we had quite the commotion, but now it's back to the way it used to be, hm? A bit unfortunate, but at least we know what to expect ( Read more... )

I can't help but be curious about this 'club' of yours. I took the liberty of reading through some of the replies to your post and I find the purpose of this club coincides with my interests. Are there other clubs besides yours?

There are, some are less vocal than others. Arts and Crafts has less military-inclined studies and Search and Rescue is, as the name suggests, involved in studying rescue techniques. The medical team (as of yet unnamed) is also looking for qualified members.

If you are still interested in History Club, do let me know. If our interests coincide, perhaps we can be of use to one another.

I see. Thank you for your information. I am interested, but I still have some questions before I decide whether or not to dedicate myself to your purpose.

What sorts of uses would your club provide for me that the other clubs perhaps wouldn't? And as a club member, what would be expected of me?

And finally, something a little less relevant perhaps. The name you are using. A pseudonym of sorts?

What is expected of you is to do as we ask and to be willing to study some of the more violent periods of history. Some here are not capable or willing to study fighting techniques, thus making it difficult to place them in such an active club as ourselves. We expect much of our members when it comes to study, although we can place you with someone else who is new to ease you into our study groups.

And my name is my own. I suppose you could call it a pseudonym, although only because I rarely use it.

I see. You are a fairly dedicated group then. Fair enough. Do you ask for regular participation? What if a club member had another commitment on the side to take care of on occasion? Do you require functioning in groups only or is independent work for the club allowed?

Ah. That's interesting.

If a club member has a side project, they are welcome to explore on their own. Functioning in groups or alone is allowed and welcomed, although projects alone tend to be dangerous with the nature of our study.

I take it you recognize my name? Don't worry, I've heard all the stories.

I see. Thank you for answering my questions. Your responses were very helpful. I'm afraid I won't be able tell you whether I will be joining right away, but I will let you know as soon as I am able. I wish you and your club luck in your studying tonight.

And I do, yes.

Thank you. And please do keep us in mind. We are always open to new members.

Interesting. Don't worry, it's just what you think it is, but I won't ask you about it.
