I really should be studying for my international politics exam, but I just wanted to stop in to say that today is the best day ever, weather-wise. I don't know if I ever mentioned how unbelievable beautiful Bucknell is. right now, the trees are turning, the perfectly groomed lawns are dusted with leaves, the old brick buildings are stark against the briliantly blue sky, and although its the last day of october, its unusually warm. I've spent a lot of time complaining about the weather with Jared, but today, I love it. Every once in a while, I stop and take a moment to look around, reminding myself how lucky I am to live in a place this beautiful.
It may sound all hippy-like or something, and I swear I'm not on drugs, but I seriously suggest trying this. At some random time when you're really stressed, take a moment and look around. Look at all the things we take for granted, and realize that they are all beautiful in their own way. We live in a beautiful world, but we spend so much time running around getting things done that people rarely take the time to notice anymore. Notice. Please. You'll be surprised how good it'll make you feel.
Oh, and I'll be home in less than 3 weeks. I can't wait to see everyone, and I can't wait to see the ocean as I drive down the hill into Pacifica. That is a sight I'm definitely missing.
