It was cold. Too cold to his liking. Thus, he tightened the scarf wrap around his neck and shoved his hands
deeper into his pockets.
His constant sighs from now and then formed uninvited mists, coming out of his lips. He looked up to the darkened sky. It was dark. Too dark, in fact. He grumbled a bit, feeling annoyed. He hated these. Both cold and dark.
He hated them.
Cho Kyuhyun hated them.

"Cheers!"
The group leader cheered loudly as they were finally granted their freedom by the president. After two years of struggling, Super Junior finally got the authorisation by the fans from around the world, making them to rise to stardom almost immediately after the release of their second album.
"Eat up, guys. It's all on me," Jungsoo, or Leeteuk as his stage name goes, voiced out.
"Yeah!!!" Came his excited band mates reply.
Jungsoo leaned back to the chair he was placing his butt on. He eyed each of his fellow band members. As their leader, Jungsoo took up the role of a mother, a brother, and if possibly, a lover. He would make sure the members are perfectly fine, both physically and mentally. He would listen to their ongoing problems every now and then, even if it was way past midnight. Most importantly, he was willing to love them as much as he loved himself.
The roles and responsibility came with a package, after all. The package of being a leader to five other guys. Younger than him. Broken more than him.
Super Junior was an idol group. A popular one at that. They dominated the people's hearts almost immediately after their debut. Gifted with good looks and undeniable various talents, the members came to recognition rather quickly, being a rookie they were.
However, the risk of being popular was a given. After 2 months of debut, fellow band member, Donghae was hospitalised for about 2 weeks when one of the anti-fans gave a poisoned fruit drinks on the day of their first fan-meeting ever. He had never thought that she was a hater. The girl looked too nice to be a hater.
After Donghae, it was Hankyung. Just because he was from China, the fans couldn't accept him that well. It resulted to numerous amount of threats and mean messages to his mail. Hankyung was always the calm one, but when it comes to the matter, he was never good enough. Jungsoo tried to help. In fact, he had. But sometimes, words aren't the one that would cure the pain. Thus, he left the group.
It was a heartbreaking goodbye, to be honest. But the members did not show their fragile side to everyone. They weren't allowed to. That was a given, too.
'Being an idol isn't all about entertaining others, but it means to make you stronger. Come the hatred and come the love, it depends on your wisdom on how to handle. Once you know how, then you are training yourself to become a better person.'
The president's words rang in his mind as he took a bite of his food. Thankfully, Hankyung's presence was replaced with a bubbly new member, Ryeowook. The young boy came from a rich family, always under the claws of his father. His mother died of a cancer, which made him lose his spark and his father erased the word 'love' from his life.
It was painful enough for Ryeowook to go through all of these but when he came to realise of his own dreams, he decided to be a singer. His father wasn't against it. He was never the type who would mind of his son's wants. And so, the son was finally awakened from the nightmare. He had finally regained his spark again.
Or maybe he wasn't replacing anyone. Maybe he was already there, in the group, but he was unseen and unheard of.
And all that's left were Siwon, the visual, Shindong the rapper, and Kyuhyun the maknae.
'Kyuhyun..' He thought. He was then brought back to reality -he was daydreaming as I explained about members- when he thought of their baby.
Jungsoo then realised that Kyuhyun was not in his seat, "Where's Kyuhyunnie?"
He asked the members.
"Toilet," Shindong replied with his mouth full of food. Donghae, who was seated right the opposite of the chubby rapper, scrunched his face in a slight disgust. "Ugh, hyung. Don't talk with your mouth full of food."
"You guys eat up. I'm going to the toilet." Jungsoo said as he stood up and made his way to the toilet.
Kyuhyun... The maknae who had never opened up to anyone.
Somehow, Jungsoo was worried about the maknae.

Kyuhyun told his hyungs that he was going to the toilet but it seemed like Jungsoo wasn't really listening. The leader looked like he was daydreaming.
'Jungsoo-hyung never told us his problems' he thought. As he was making his way to the toilet he stumbled upon a couple , half way to his destination. Instantly, he recognised the girl.
'Seohyun...'
He felt his heart clenching. Not wanting anything more than to disappear, Kyuhyun turned around and walked as fast as he could to the exit. He didn't expect that she would be here. Why would her? As far as Kyuhyun could remember, Seohyun hated the restaurant so much that she couldn't stop herself from cursing whenever she saw the place.
As he was outside, he reached out for his phone and began to text Shindong.
'I'm leaving first. Don't worry, I 'll take the taxi.'
He pressed the send button and...
Sent.
He turned off his phone and began walking.
It was winter. It was dark.
Kyuhyun hated them. Both the cold and dark.

"Kyuhun?"
Jungsoo called out but no one was in the toilet. He frowned. taking out his phone, he began to dial Kyuhyun's number, but it was out of reach.
He went back to their table and instantly, Shindong told him about the message Kyuhyun had sent him.
'I knew it. Something's wrong with him.'
Without saying anything, Jungsoo went to the cashier and paid for the bill.
