(no subject)
Well, I know I promised myself I wouldn't update this again - but I think it's probably the easiest way to tell people about my current uni situation.... but as I shall be mullered by Nat if I dont give a brief update first here ya go:
IN the last few weeks I went to Edinburgh (which was great - thanks guys for a fab bday ^_^ ), the Isle of Wight to visit my missing presumed dead gran's house .... which was surreal but nice in a disturbing, ethereal way, my brothers got a puppy - something I thought would never happen as my dad cant really stand most animals and I moved back into my house and have the most fantastic housemates ever ^_^. Then went to Big Gay Out saw Lindsay and a couple his mates... Will and... bugger I cant remember the other one's name :S anyways I think I managed to completely terrify Will in the trade tent by doing my Saturday Night Fever dance moves... just to prove I cant dance of course 0:-) ... aaanyways still no job although I have a possiblity of a place at 5 quid an hour, work any hours I like, do nothing photo lab place where one of my housemates just moved on from and she's put in a ggood word for me ^_^ so yay! .... just have to get in there before the real schools let out... apparently all the public schools are already done :S (for the yanks reading ... of course by public I mean "private" ^_~ ) so that's that....
Anyways I got my IB results yesterday... was somewhat disappointed as they left me 2 points short of getting into Edinburgh.. (got 32, needed 34) sooo I thought I was screwed and I was gonna end up in Aberdeen.... yay -_- After that rather discouraging performance I learned that I might still have a shot as a police report detailing the circumstances of my Gran's disappearance had been filed with the school and the IB in case of such an event... obviously to me it seems kinda low to bring that up in trying to get into uni... but then again... a lot of the subject matter in the exams kinda prodded a little close to home ... soo we'll see. I also just got a message from Ms Joos (college counsellor to you non- wis ers) saying that as I had met my requirements in my highers that I would probably still be able to make it into Edinburgh, but that apparently some contact will have to be made obviously.... so yeah... I managed to overcomplicate things yet again... meh
I know the above is a little self-centred and perhaps a bit whiney... but it's so much easier than texting people all the details... Im still not used to that quite yet @_@
