PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS AS AN INSULT, I WOULDNT HAVE GONE THROUGH ALL THE TROUBLE TO GET THIS INFORMATION IF I DIDNT CARE ABOUT YOU. PLEASE QUIT NOW! IF NOT FOR ME THEN FOR SOMEONE WHOM YOU REALLY LOVE.
I just recently found out that one of my friends started smoking, and I happen to care about this person a lot. So here are some fact for them to read and think about and quit now. While its still considerably "easy" because the longer they smoke the harder it will be to quit!!!

FACTS ABOUT CIGARETTES AND TOBACCO
1. Tobacco is the only product that when used as intended kills the customers.
2. Tobacco kills 420,000 Americans every year.
3. More pople died from tobacco every year than AIDS, alcohol, car accidents, murders, suicides,
drugs, and fires COMBINED.
4. Tobacco is the single most preventable cause of death and disease in the United States.
5. Smoking just two cigarettes a day can double a person's risk of getting lung cancer!
6. ABOUT 90 PERCENT OF ALL SMOKERS STARTED BEFORE THE AGE OF 18.
7. THE YOUNGER SMOKERS ARE WHEN THEY START THE MORE LIKELY THEY ARE TO DIE.
8. IT IS ILLEGAL TO SELL TOBACCO TO PEOPLE UNDER THE 18 YEARS OF AGE.
9. MORE THAN 3000 PEOPLE STARTED SMOKING EVERY DAY -- MAJORITY OF THEM TEENS!
10. 3000 people died every day from cigarettes and tobacco.

18. Tobacco ads will make people thin that some cigarette brands are "safer" by saying it is
"low in tar" or "low in nicotine."
19. Tobacco companies already know that cigarettes contain nicotine, but they hide that truth from
the American people!
20. Tobacco companies don't care how many lives were being lost -- they only tried to protect their
own profits.
21. These guys only want money -- our hard earned money.
22. Children of smoking mothers are three times more likely to die of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
23. SECONDHAND SMOKE IS A REAL DANGER TO OUR HEALTH.
24. Secondhand smoke makes breathing harder for the 12.4 million young people and adults who have asthma.

29. So who pays for these sick and dying people? WE DO!

32. American companies make most of the cigarettes sold around the world.
33. In many countries they use advertising tricks that are illegal in the U.S.
34. In the past, the U.S. government has actually helped U.S. tobacco companies sell thier products around the world.
35. SOME MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNMENT HAVE EVEN TRIED TO FORCE OTHER COUNTRIES TO BRING IN U.S. TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR PRESSURED THEM TO WEAKEN LAWS THAT WOULD REDUCE TOBACCO USE!!
36. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that more than 500 million people alive in this world today will die because of tabacco use!
37. Kids under five years of age think that Joe Camil is their own Mickey Mouse!!
38. The three most used brand cigarettes are Marlboro, Camel, and Newport.
39. People who sell tobacco products to kids under 18 years old often never asked for their ID card.
40. Camel is the number one cigarette brand used by kids under 18 years old.
