-Big ol' eye roll-

I'm curious about what anyone thinks about my roommates...

I live with my boyfriend and two of our friends, another couple. It's gotten to the point where my boyfriend and I are looking for another house so we can give our 30 days notice. One of them is trying to be a little better about cleaning things up, which as usual is the main issue in our house, and the other one is just totally lazy and spends most of her time laying in bed or on the couch under a blanket watching TV. I'm not a perfectly clean person, but I am getting so sick and tired of cleaning up after people that don't reciprocate the effort to keep the house and all other areas clean.

Here is my recent problem for example: last Saturday they had friends over and afterward a beer bottle turned up in front of our house by the street. It was still there until yesterday evening when I got home from work. I don't have a problem taking care of stuff like that normally, but many other things have lead up to this. Anyway, I took the bottle and stood it up right where they park their car. When they got home last night and parked behind it (there's no way they DIDN'T see it), no one picked it up and threw it away... when I walked the dog this morning, it was knocked over in front of the car. in fact, later, they ran it over when they left for work. Then, the girl (the main slob) asked me when I got home from work where the bottle had been before that. ARE. YOU. SERIOUS.

She then proceeded to tell me that their friends weren't drinking that kind of beer. Now... it's entirely possible that someone walking along the side of the road decided to just prop it up against the tree in our yard instead of just throwing it in the ditch like any other litterbug would do... but it's quite UNLIKELY... if they weren't drinking it, then it fell out of their car or SOMETHING because that is where one of their cars were parked. Then she was like "Well... I ran it over." Like she wanted me to say "Oh I'm sooooo sorry!!" Running that bottle over was entirely avoidable if they had simply walked around the front of the car when they got home and picked it up.

When my boyfriend gets home in about an hour or so, I have a feeling that a house meeting is going to happen and I hate those... they're not fun. If anyone actually read through this drivel... does anyone think the way i went about handling it was wrong? Please be honest, I'm a big girl!
