Ok, so I started working at Dome in Subiaco a few weeks ago and while the staff there are all pretty nice, there are SO MANY retarded customers. They do add a little amusement to a boring day though... here are some examples:
*The woman who ordered a takeaway weak soy chai latte with half a sugar (extra hot), and then waited for the order to go through before saying, "wait... actually i'll just have a flat white".
*The guy who PUT a live spider into his nearly finished meal - a really small spider - then demanded a refund voucher because apparently he found it in his food and "if I ate it, it could have killed me. No, it WOULD have killed me!"
*The little girl who's with her mum and brother, who calls me over when her mum's in the bathroom to tell me, "He's not really my brother. He's horrible. He ate vegemite on its own".
*The man who left his "important documents" on a table when he left, came back 15 minutes later and complained that they were gone. When we told him they'd probably been put away with the magazines, he told us to find them. When we couldn't find them immediately I told him he could leave his contact details and if we found his stuff we'd call. He said that wasn't good enough and we had to find them straight away because they were very important (which leaves me wondering why he left them on a table in a busy cafe). Eventually we found them and he said the whole situation was unacceptable and he was never coming back to Dome again. Good.
*The old lady whose order didn't go through the machine properly and when I was trying to sort out what had happened and I asked, "so you ordered such-and-such and you're sure you paid for it" she told me I was exceedingly rude for implying she hadn't paid and she was going to report me to the manager and have me fired. As it was, she didn't even see the manager.
And finally...
*The lady who complained that her chicken caesar salad had lettuce that wasn't crisp. When I told her it was because by the time she gets to the bottom of the salad, the warm chicken has softened the lettuce, she told me not to talk back and to inform the cooks that she was forced to eat rotten lettuce.
