an odd dream
i walked into a lecture theatre - not my own - and saw two double basses lying on the ground. i picked one up and started to pluck it quietly, when a woman standing next to me told me i was just what she needed and would offer new life to her class. she said, "i'll pay you of course! five dollars an hour to bring life into this place! i know you'll be just perfect!". i said alright, put the instrument down, and moved on. i walked up into the rows of seats, and as i did so, the scene changed.
i was at a party and everyone was eating and talking. just as i was starting to enjoy myself, i found myself in a long rectangular pit filled with water, hidden between two rows of chairs. in the pit were lots and lots of wooden puppets so that it was hard to stay above the water and not get stuck. i was in there with another girl, and we started to worry that we wouldn't be able to escape and would die down there. eventually i worked out how i could get out, but knew she wouldn't be able to, so i turned to her, and said, "don't worry. i'm going to get you something to eat and some help. everything will be alright. i love you" and held her in my arms, awaiting a reply of some sort. she eventually said, "oh! i don't know if i'm ready for married life yet!". i told her i didnt mean that, and i just wanted her to know how i felt. "well i, um...." she laughed. "i feel rather fond of you too! ta-ta!" and i left, quite satisfied with her response.
