Umbrellas: i sure was glad to have one of these today, cause i would have got rained on so much if i didn't...
Urchins, sea: they're spiky and cool.
Up: the best way to go.
U.V rays: not actually good. but still, they SOUND cool.
Umbillical cords: yep, they are our sole source of food for a lot of time, so i thought they deserved some credit.
University: you learn a lot of interesting stuff at university.
Unicorns: what crazy maniac thought up unicorns? why the hell would a horse have some whopping great spiral horn on its face? and why does that make it magical???
Utensils: you use them. lots of things are utensils, so this category contains an awful lot of good things. like forks, rolling pins, olive pitters etc.
Uranium: makes the energy, the much, the fast. yes. also gives you cancer, and cancer is cool.
Underwear: imagine what it would be like without underwear... we'd never be able to wear short skirts for fear that people would see up them, and our boobs would be all saggy by the time we were 20. yuck.
Undressing: clothes are overrated. i vote we all get NAKED!

Violets: pretty pretty flowers.
Violins: i played the violin for ages and while i didn't really like playing it, i do like the sound it makes. so that is good.
Violas: violas get way too much bad publicity. if you're even a vaguely musically sort of person (as in classical music), you'll know what i mean.
Voting: i'm really excited about getting to vote next year when there's the next election. i don't know why, but i am. sounds like fun, even though it will probably be incredibly boring.
Vodka: is strong alcohol that can be mixed with just about anything at all to make fun drinks.
Velvet: one of my favourite materials, because it looks nice and is soft and silky to touch.
Vaccuum cleaners: i just love the word "vaccuu" because it's the only word i know which has a two Us in a row.
Vases: you can put flowers in them and flowers are pretty.
Verandas: they're good to be on when the weather is nice and you have people around to have a meal with.
Vortexes: mum suggested this one. i'm not even sure what a vortex is...

Weather: makes life a bit more interesting and unpredictable.
White-out: i am so glad that stuff exists. it's perfect for writing on black walls and stuff.
Winter: my favourite season. i like storms, and rain, and cold weather, and drinking hot chocolate by a fire, and cuddles when it's cold and wet and you can warm each other up. ^.^
Watches: you can have the time ON YOUR BODY!!! wow...
Whirlpools: i've never actually seen a whirlpool in real life. but they look pretty awesome.
Where's Wally: the most fun i ever had. NOT! yeah, not actually very good. but they were fun for a few minutes.
Wine: perfect for people who want to be snooty and pretensious.
Wishes: even if you've got nothing else, you can always have hope, so it's good to be able to wish for things.
Wax: you pour it on things and it is amusing.
Waves: are fun to play in. they used to scare me when i was little though. and still do sometimes.

Xylophones: we used to always fight at school to be the one who got to play the xylophone in music.
X-rays: they're pretty awesome.
Xi: a greek letter, which is cool cause it starts with X for no other reason.
XD: a fun smiley to make when you're really happy.
X in acronyms: you know what i mean - like "F.O.X" meaning Fun Outdoor eXercise. yeah. when they use the second letter because X is cooler than E.
Xavier: best name ever.
Xerxes: best name for a king ever.
Xanthorria: they're blackboys, for the uninitiated. they're cool cause they're all spiky and green and in summer(?) they send up huge penis-shaped flowers.

Yaks: they're big and shaggy and i think they probably make a funny noise, though i've never heard one before...
