damn UWA!
ok, so results are up today and i can't even get them because the site is too busy. it has been for the last hour or so. this is just the most recent problem in a whole chain of annoyances related to the uwa website.
first of all, finding out when results were to become available. shouldn't there be a big sign on their home-page saying "results will be available on _____"? apparently that's what it's like at murdoch and other unis. instead, i had to search the whole website and i only found it 'cause i started thinking, "ok, let's look in places where it really shouldn't be". it was hidden in the "contact student administration" section. what the fuck.
then, once i know this, i wait till results are meant to be available (ie from seven in the morning today), and go back to the same place i found the results timetable. it isn't there. so it's back to my original search. granted it was in the same general area (in "contact student administration"), but not where the timetable was. and sitting there are not the results, but a link to student connect, where you actually get your results. and that link is on the last line in a paragraph about how to get a hardcopy of your results.
gah! i can only assume that uwa has decided to give us one last exam before we pass all our units, and it's the general internet navigation exam (the advanced course "how to find shit in places it doesn't belong").
anyway, so now i'm waiting till the site can actually handle all us students wanting our results. i wonder how long i'm going to have to wait...
