(no subject)
So we have a new visitor for the moment. Dave found him skulking around outside of our door today and being pitiful so he invited him in. He doesn't look much older than a kitten...he's still all gangly and hasn't grown into his paws and tail yet. He's all black except for a white bib on his chest, shorthaired, and brown-eyed. He's also clearly used to being around people because the only time he's been afraid the whole time he's been here is when the shower turned on. Otherwise he's acting like he owns the place and rarely stops purring. He's also been eating like he hasn't eaten in days.
Lucifer is not pleased. We've been letting the two cats introduce themselves to each other by keeping them in separate rooms and letting them sniff each other from under the door. Lu seems to think this one is the TRUE prince of darkness.
I have no doubt he does or did belong to someone so we're going to keep an eye on the Lost ads for a couple of weeks. If nothing turns up, I guess he's staying. I sure don't want to turn him loose back outside with all of the feral cats, the idiots driving 40 in a 5 MPH zone, and the weather getting colder. A
