To those who like jam bands: (like TGM)
Anybody on here who has seen my CD book, knows that I have this sign on it:

That is the international symbol of jamband, and that just might have gotten me a shitload of music, just because of an observational fan.
I was walking home from the library today (I can actually walk!) and I had brought my CD collection with me and was almost home, when somebody got out of a pickup truck, and we had the following coversation:
Stranger: "You know what that sign means right?"
Me: "Yes, Hula Hoop crossing, the international symbol of jamband"
S: "String Cheese Incident Fan?" (That sign is also one of their logos)
M: "Just became one recently"
S: "Like Others?"
M: "Yes" (Proceeds to list off all the jambands I like)
S: "Would you like some music?"
M: (Flabbergasted) "Sure"
S: (Pulls out a huge CD book FILLED with Phish, and other bands)
M: "Wow, just out of curiousity, how many CDs do you got?"
S: "About 12 of these books worth"
M: (Falls Over)
S: "Hey, want my number? give a call, I'll drop some music off for you if you want, and you can try it out"
M: (Stunned as hell) "Ummmmmmmm ok"
S: (Gives me his # and a sample CD by Gallactica, which is very good actually, and drives off)
M: (Standing there, barely knowing what the fuck just happened)
Soooo, because of a sticker on my CD book, I now have a jamband connection.... pretty fucking awesome.
