Finally! I'm back in Austin! It really wasn't that long but 4-5 days feels like FOREVER when you have to be in Fredericksburg/Kerrville for part of your trip.
I left Thursday evening after traffic had calmed down n went to Denton. I stayed there visiting Christina and Melissa until Sunday afternoon. Friday night Melissa and I went out to Fry Street. I made the mistake of waiting way too long since I had eaten and I was going to remind myself not to drink as much because of that... but then I had about 11 drinks. Oh well, at least I've learned my lesson that now that I'm older I can't drink quite as much.
So Sunday eveningish I drove from Denton to Azle which is about 15-20 minutes outside Ft. Worth to pick up my sister. Well, we were supposed to leave around 5, but she didn't get out of work til 7 and we didn't even leave until 8-8:15. That part sucked because we didn't get to Fredericksburg til really late and it was too late for me to drive to my parents's place in Kerrville, so I ended up staying the night at David's in Fredericksburg. It was nice to hang out with him since I hadn't in a while, we road tripped some the next day and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside. The wildflowers are all in bloom right now too so the hill country right now is definetely in its peak I think as far as greenery goes.
Yesterday was the long day. I was following my mom out to Stonewall to finally get my door on my jeep fixed. About halfway out there, my passenger side front tire freakin blows. I have to drive 45 mph on the highway to get back to town, then go to Wal-Mart to be told they don't have any freakin tires so I have to drive further to Uniroyal tires. Thankfully they were able to get some tires in on the truck that afternoon so my jeep was ready by the time my mom got out of work. That evening I showed my parents cupping, moxibustion n some of the other stuff I've been learning at school recently. They really enjoyed it and it feels good to do something good for them after how much they always do for me. I think my dog is into something... later!
