Watching a great many movies...

I went to the Winnipeg Zoo on friday. It was pretty cool- they had white bengal tigers there. For some

reason I'll never understand the tigers had decided to sleep right up against the walls of the cage, right next to the

walkway, on their backs with their feet sticking up in the air. It's hard to be dignified in that position, especially if

your a fuzzy kitty already to begin with. Also, being that close to the walkway lets small kids with sticks try to poke

you. Most of them couldn't reach, but they made plenty of racket banging the sticks against the cage. Most of the

big cats were asleep, except the normal, orange tiger, who was pacing at the far side of his cage- a bit more

majestic than the others.
The next coolest thing was the badger. I hadn't seen a badger before. They're funny. This one was also

really hyper, running around like he had somewhere he could go that wasn't less that three meters away.
I saw Shrek 2 and most of Spiderman 2 last night. When I say most of, I don't mean I came in fifteen

minutes late, I mean the dvd player skipped whole chunks of the movie. Which is odd, as both are new. I chart it up

to the dvds being bought in indonesia- are shrek 2 and spiderman 2 even out on dvd yet in canada? They're fairly

new.
Along with the dvds that were bought(there were about 20, and a fairly decent selection) came case

covers. The story- synopsis- blurb thing for shrek (1 this time, both were bought) is in indonesian. One of these day's

I'm gonna watch it with the indonesian subtitles(or dubbing if it has it) and see how much I still understand. The

blurb-thing for shrek 2 is even better, though. Here it is:

Shortly after setting out on their honeymoon, Shrek, his bridge(typo copied from text) Princess Fiona and

their faithful companion, Donkey are ambushed by Lord Farquaad's henchman, Thelonius. With princess Fiona

captive, Thelonius rides off into the enchanted forest. Shrek and Donkey leap into their horse-drawn

onion-carriageito to give chase, in a desperate attempt to save Princess Fiona. Shrek and Donkey's rescue comes to a

sudden halt when the diminutive Lord Farquaad, bent on revenge, returns as a ghostly apparition. A breathtaking,

fire-breathing battle leaves the newlyweds Shrek and Princess Fiona plummeting down a giant 1,000-foot waterfall...

You won't get it if you haven't seen the movie. I also managed to sit through Confessions of a Teenage

Drama Queen last night, just to complete the experience and because other people wanted to. It wasn't so bad. I

watched(and heckled) that briteny spears movie Crossroads a couple weeks ago, and if I can sit throug that, I can sit

through anything. (that isn't really true. Crossroads could have been a much better movie than it was -not that that's

saying much- if it had been done a bit differently and had better acting. it was a mediocre movie done badly.

Confessions was a bad movie done as well as it could be, and therefore almost more painfull, because it was /still so

awful/)
Life is otherwise good. The horses are doing well, I bought the niftiest skull-and-crossbones magnetic

earrings at the mall the other day after we went to the zoo. Also, the mall had a pet store, which had an iguana

wandering around on the bags of dog food, with whom I bonded.
