Work woes.

Working at a tourist mall is all kinds of ridiculous. Yesterday I made no sales because we did not have an english speaking customer the entire day. Not ONE. And, none of them were American either. It was very aggrivating. Also, I'm tired of ignorant black people who demand buying GTA for their 5-9 year olds. I try to explain to them that it will ( Read more... )

Question: Are you really supposed to be talking customers out of buying a game?

And shit like GTA doesn't affect the kids, either. The little niggers grow up to kill people because that's what they do, not because of the games they play. Hell, the white folk are probably more ignorant in this case, because they actually believe the games are gonna screw up their kids.

I try VERY hard to talk people out of that game, because I feel it is a worthless blight on the video game world. One of the damn spokespersons for XBOX now has a "GRAND THEFT AUTO IV" tattoo on his arm. WHAT THE FUCK IS THT?

I'm not a big fan of the game, either, but people still love it and are gonna buy it whether you want them to or not. Might as well just let them and get credit for the sales.

When introduced at such a young age SOEM kids are a bit fucked up by them but 99% arent. Still, he was doing the responsible thing seeing how you arent supposed to sell thta game to anyone under 18 anyway.

Well, if a little seven year old boy came in and tried to buy it, then it's understandable. However, the parents are the ones buying them, and with all the hullabaloo all over the news and whatever about the games, the parents should know the risks. Plus, the 1% of kids who are actually affected by the games are obviously too easily influenced, and would probably end up getting all screwy anyway.

Then he did the right thing by trying to inform the parents about what they were buying so maybe later they didnt come in screaming about how horrible they were for selling them such a game. If a parent doesnt know, someone SHOULD tell them D:

At the age of like 7, showing a game with nudity, violence, theft and language like that can influence ANYONE. I believe that completely.

But you're a mama's boy. Generally people have a stronger will, even by age seven.

You're right. It's not the games that make children into killing machines (not just black people either, it can be anyone). It's the environment they're brought up in and what their parents teach them.

My boyfriend's little brother is nine, completely innocent, plays GTA, and isn't hellbent on a killing spree. Still, I probably wouldn't let my kids play GTA until they were old enough.
