I might have Mesothelioma now...
Not sure if you've all heard but there was an incident in downtown Boston today. A steam pipe burst and apparently since all the pipes in downtown are old as dirt they are lined with asbestos.
Summer Street was blocked off as well as surrounding streets while they had men in hazmat suits tested the air.
My office is literally around the corner from where this pipe burst. Less than a block away. I had to walk all the way around to get to the T after work, and I was a little concerned about the air quality as it was a pretty damn windy day today and I doubt I was far enough away to have stopped any contaminated air from reaching me.
In reality I'm sure it's fine, but a bit scary.
