Further "Waters of Mars" thoughts . . .
I'm really wondering, now, how long RTD *has* been setting up this one storyline. In a discussion thread elswhere, I quoted Nine's line (can't remember the ep) about, "I'd make a terrible god. For starters, you wouldn't get a day off."
Then I remembered *another* relevant line at, at the end of "Dalek," when the Doctor declares the Time War finally over and with bitter black humor says, "I win. Whoopee."
Whoa. o_O While I sincerely doubt RTD had all the plot details lined up at the very beginning, more and more I'm starting to think he had plans for this basic storyline from the get-go. And if he didn't, he's done a damn fine job of going back and weaving things form the past into the present narrative.
Flawed panorama or not, I'm really impressed by the scope of the view I'm getting . . .
Anyway, that's all. For now. ;)
