[ Lightning arrives with all due haste, true to her name and rather than a greeting, she simply shifts her paradigm to medic---something she never does preemptively but is always ready to do at the drop of a hat---and casts cure, twice. ]

What was it doing with your staff in the first place?

[Hai sup Sarge McNinja. Fang gives the Cures a moment to sink in before flexing her limbs and testing her lip to make sure the skin's healed. There's a little soreness, but she's used to that.]

Thanks. The damn thing snuck up on me somehow. I was after a different beast, when all of a sudden the white one grabbed me from behind.

[ Her brow quirks at the next part. Fang's not all that easy to sneak up on, typically, but the creatures here are foreign to them, not to mention the territory, and this so-called curse is all upwards of Ridiculous. Chalk it all together and being caught off guard isn't so unlikely, but she glances around to try to avoid it happening again. ]

This place is weird.

[ And that's said with usual stellar deadpanning tone or lack thereof, also saturated in the Obvious, but that's Lightning. ]

[Although her pose has the same ease it always does, she hasn't returned her staff to its holster on her back; instead, it remains firmly in her grip.]

You're telling me. I don't know any beasts that're smart enough to use weapons.

Wonder what else is different here. A lot, I'll guess.

[The sidelong glance she casts in Fang's direction is mild but pointed, as if to say they ought to find out as much as possible, though whether to go at it on curse days and unaffected days alike or not is debatable. ]
