Con post

Okay, so where to begin?

Much confusion over the roomshare, and I ended up paying for a room by myself for three days at the motel 6, costing me quite a bundle. I'm okay with it, though, as I didn't have to sleep on the floor as I usually do.

Talliy mantains his title as the flakiest human being alive. I got a call from him on wednesday morning, saying he forgot his fursuit crate.

fursuit CRATE!

It's not exactly a set of car keys, is it? It was huge. I met up with his sister on Thursday morning at stupid o'clock (Thanks Risa for the phrase) and we managed to fit it in Nadine's trunk. The damn thing is huge! Luckily is wasn't very heavy.

Thursday morning was a blur of other errands that needed running. I manged to get on the road about 11, and made it into the Logan Airport around 12:30. I broke a nail lifting Talliy's giant crate out of the trunk. Now before you call me a raging queen, I broke the nail so badly that I bled all over the handle of the crate, and left a trail in the snow from my car to the bus stop. Bumped into Enigmas in the check-in line, and we hung out a bit before hopping on the plane.

I must say, having been on various planes all my life, Jet Blue is a godsend. There is plenty of leg room, the staff is sweet and accomodating without being authoratative, they have satilite TV, and their fares are very cheap. I recommend it to everyone. Especially since, as of January 19th, they have routes between Austin and JFK, as well as Austin and Logan. (Which means you are coming up here soon, Kinda!) They have managed to make me enjoy my flying experience, which is saying somemthing.

Anyway, after checking in I got to go see all the furries. Said hi to Belic and K'gra again, and bumped into Lean, Dom, and Odendo at the front doors. (Odendo didn't recognize me!)

It was a great con, though I may have splurged too much to get a conbadge from Dark Natasha. I took a major hit moneywise, but I do believe it was worth it. Got to hang with Silver a bit, who was finally back at his furry peak, teeth and all.

I avoided the panels, just because they seem to eat up time that I could spend socializing. I spent a good amount of time hanging with Rourkie and g-shrub and their posse. Saw Reggie and said hi, but never got a chance to force him to defile my sketchbook.

I was a little sad that I had to leave early to make my class Monday evening, but I had a great time. Notes to self for next time:

If Talliy loses his wallet, look under his suitcase.
Denny's is not real food.
Don't bother signing up for the SSB Melee tournament, it's humiliating and emasculating.
Go easier on annoying furs, even when they need their bubble burst.
Some people like to sulk, you can't help them all.

Anyway, after the red-eye back to Boston, I had a hellish experience driving again. This time, there was snow. And lots of it. There were times on the highway where I ended up going about 30 mph, and upon exiting the freeway, I managed to spin out Nadine. The poor girl has been through alot, and its high time I treated her to an oil change. I need to go find a parking lot this weekend and practice the snow driving.

Oh yeah, and I picked up a cold at the con. At least it wasn't an STD
