Party!

May 03, 2006 16:31

Housewarming/birthday party is set for the weekend of the 27th. I'm planning on cooking up a storm, and so far I'll be making both spaghetti with meat sauce and sauteed mushrooms (homemade tomato sauce if I can get my mother to cough up her recipe, otherwiese I'll have to combine Prego with my special ingredients) and my famous breakfast tacos (Note: Severly unhealthy, but breathtakingly good) with sausage, garlic scrambled eggs, cheese, and homemade guacamole. These ingredients are expensive, so its going to be 10 bucks to get in. If you can't afford this, contact me and we'll talk.

Anyway, that's the menu so far. As for other things to do, there will be video games (I have a PS2 and a GameCube, with any luck I'll have a big screen TV by then, too) board games, and art.

Yes, art. My landlord has asked that I paint the walls before I move out, so artists, BRING YOUR ART SUPPLIES. I have several walls that could use a bit of defiling. Especially you, Silvermane. If I'm going to have to paint over these walls when i leave, I'd rather my friends have their way with them first. This doesn't mean just put graffiti all over my walls, I trust most of your artistic instincts but this is my apartment, not a public bathroom.

To bring:

Soda. I don't drink it, so I don't keep any around. Anyone who wants soda needs to bring it.

Art Supplies
Alcohol.
Note: DO NOT abuse this privelage. I have nothing against alcohol but I don't want everyone to be drunk. If you really want to drink, you can, but I expect everyone to behave themselves and be as un-obnoxious as possible. I know alot of you lushes want to get plastered and annoy the hell out of me, but not everyone revels in sin like that. Let's keep it mature.

Board Games (Anyone have Apples to Apples?)

Video Games/Controllers (I have exactly 1 GC controller. I DO have DDR pads, but only the very first version of DDR. Also, anyone have Karaoke Revolution?)

Snacks, and please do contribute to the pot. I'm not a Trump.

Bedding. I have a single air mattress, and by the time I get my apartment set up I should have my bed and a futon in the living room. My floors are hardwood, so if you plan on sleeping, don't expect me to be able to provide for everyone. I've got some spare blankets, too, but again, I'm not running a refugee camp.

That's all I can think of right now. My address is 935 Main St, Apartment #7. Willimantic, CT 06226. PARKING WILL BE AN ISSUE. My apartment is in downtown, and it might require a bit of a walk and some detetice work to find a place to park. When I get back in town, I'll scout potential parking spots.

Directions:

From Boston:

Take 90 west to 84 west, and exit on 32 South(I think the exit is number 69, but I could be wrong. I'll look it up when I get there.) Follow it all the way south until you enter Willimantic. My apartment is above the Thread City Cafe, just past Downtown, next to the post office.

From New Haven (and Hartford):

Take 91 North to 384 West, follow the freeway until it ends. The freeway will split into 2 roads, 44 West and 6 West. Take 6 West (44 will take you to UConn) and get off on 32. Take 32 North until it merges with 66, and my apartment will be on your left, a mile or so from there. It's above the Thread City Cafe.

From Middletown:

I'm not sure if this route is any faster than the route above, but I have taken it before. Simply take 9 north and exit 66, and take 66 west ALL the way to Willimantic. This will require a good amount of time on a back country road, but once 66 joins up with 32, you are there, no other turns required.

That's all the news. Oh yes, RSVP, PLEASE! You can IM me at Bloodlite632 on AIM or DameonMunk on Yahoo. If you must reach me by e-mail, you can get me at cholcomb@speakeasy.net. Make sure the subject line says something about the party.

Oh yes, and this is a furry party. Mundanes (non-furries) are welcome, but don't say I didn't warn you.
